| PR | ＜Please Read＞ BRM participants must be at least twenty years old and either have long-distance cycling experience and/or the physical endurance to complete the course. Participants must also have liability insurance and provide proof of their insurance. No assistance or pick-up services are available should the cyclist decide to retire along the course. The cyclist is responsible for settling accidents, handling incidents, and fixing course, should they drive off-course. Audax Japan and the hosts do not accept responsibility for any incidents, accidents, or driving off-course, etc. (Some events along the same route, but in the opposite direction may be held on the same day. Please be careful to apply for the correct event.) In 2017, Audax Japan(AJ) Kanagawa will host 14 BRMs that range from 200km to 600km. We will host heaven week(Super Randonneur serius in a week) on Golden Week, the route will follow the route of Isabella Lucy Bird’s（*）”Unbeaten Tracks in Japan”. We, Audax Japan Kanagawa are looking forward to your participation. * Isabella L. Bird was one of the most famous British travelers of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Her destinations included Canada, the United States (the Rocky Mountains), Hawaii, Japan, Korea, Persia, Kurdistan, China, and Morocco. She is particularly known for her intrepidness and lively writing style. |
| About Names in Alphabetic Characters | ACP and RM certify BRM, and the results created by the host will be submitted to AJ. The application for certification will be submitted using the name written in alphabetic characters on the BRM application. Please be consistent in providing details. If the applicant’s name is spelled differently, it may be considered as a different person and hinder the process of applying for SR medals, etc. Please be careful to keep the spelling of your name consistent with all BRMs and that your first and last name are always written in the same order. Please be consistent with the spelling of your name. The format of the certified BRM results will be as follows. All characters of the last name will be in upper case lettering. | Participation Requirements | All participants are required to have a liability insurance that exceeds fifty million yen. International participants’ insurance policy must be valid in Japan. The participant must also have an insurance policy that covers their own death and chronic injuries. All participants must submit their insurance policy numbers, etc. before they depart on the course to qualify for participation. International participants are asked to send as much information as possible by email(contact2017@aj-kanagawa.org) before arriving in Japan. |
